Overview

This course explains how we get the right quality during the construction phase, the players involved and their responsibilities. The course focuses on the role of the Clerk of Work / Construction Inspector, and explains their duties, typical activities and how the Project Manager can get the best from their CoW.

Target Audience

This course is suitable for Development and Regeneration staff who are responsible for quality control on-site, who work with Clerks of Work / Construction Inspectors and who wish to obtain a better understanding of their role, activities, and how they fit into the the wider processes of managing quality during the construction phase.

Entry or Pre-course Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this module, although it is helpful if delegates have attended Intermediate Development 3 – Building Contracts etc, or have some experience of working with Clerks of Work / Construction Inspectors.
